Disciples build partnerships with our neighbors and brothers and sisters in Christ. We want to be the best part of the Body of Christ we can be, and we want others to be the best part of the Body of Christ they can be. We are humble at heart and we love our community. Individuals in our church family serve Jesus in a variety of ways through local service organizations, clubs, political parties, and social groups. We believe it is important our church provides a combined outreach to our community and beyond.
We adopted First Christian Church in Katy, TX, following Hurricane Harvey, to not only help with recovery efforts but to maintain a relationship that would be beneficial to both our congregations in times of need and distress.
We offer nonprofit group sacred space to hold meetings, conferences, etc., that will benefit families in our area.
If you have the heart to serve, then we would be interested in your leadership and input and provide support for your ministry. It truly takes a village to help each other meet our needs, improve our lives, and share the love of God.

A few years ago, First Christian Church moved the Food Bank operations and equipment over to Mineral Wells Center of Life, consolidating food distribution in Mineral Wells, and relieving the church of a very fruitful ministry. In the end, we were serving about 700 families each month with a variety of groceries. Although sad to let this go and be successful elsewhere, God is answering our prayers for a new direction. Christmas Day, 2017, we invited homeless men, women, and children, to come celebrate Christmas with a Christmas brunch. We distributed "stockings," hygiene products, and blankets. Our missions and outreach committees are hard at work to determine a specific direction to reach and aid our homeless population. More to come as we build community partners, government permissions, and seek grants to help us be just as successful as our Food Bank. We want you to help us too! Volunteers, donations, and prayers are always needed. We would like assistance from Social Workers, Small Business owners, and local helping agencies to accomplish our goals.
ENTRY is our guide to invite, include, and encourage new members, old members, unchurched and unaffiliated people to come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, to be integrated into the full life of the church, and to meet their needs in body, mind, and spirit.
"E" = Evangelical (Matthew 28:19-20)
"N" = Needs-Based (Mark 6:35-37a)
"T" = Truthful (John 14:6)
"R" = Ritual (1 Corinthians 11:23-24)
"Y" = Yearning (Psalm 86:11-13)
ENTRY's goal is to connect people to Jesus Christ. We believe our church may not be the right fit for everyone; however, as you search for a place to belong, we feel called to help you find a family here or at another church. (This may sound counter-intuitive; however, we believe people need to discover their niche in this community, and when we commit to helping people connect and grow, we all become stronger.)
ENTRY is congregationally led. Anyone who understands and is committed to serving a need in our community is encouraged to take the lead, develop and train volunteers, and to execute the plans and goals. When participants begin to express their passions, we will help support those passions. When everyone gets to take lead in something, or church begins to bond and grows stronger. We will risk together, succeed or fail together, and grow together.
